I was worried this album would fall into the trap of monotony that many Death Metal albums find themselves in, but this was actually a very enjoyable album with enough variation and melodic parts to keep it interesting.

An overlooked death metal classic for sure.

This is some seriously groovy stuff for brutal death metal, it's a band that's definitely overlooked and deserves more recognition, the riffs are outstanding, and I really like the heavy juicy guitar tone it has. The songwriting is also great, and very consistent. I would say it's up there with some of the best death metal album's I've heard from around that time.

Pretty good, if uneven album. The songwritting shines at its most melodic, "Nice Rotting Eyes" is a good example with its late-era Carcass influence. It is also too long for its style, but it's a good at bridging brutal death with melodeath.
