A relatively new metal movement has taken me aback, leading me down an exhilarating, spiral path of emotionally charged and blissfully saturated musical sensibility. The blackgaze concept is a combination of black metal axioms with more dreamy and mellow textures and Harakiri For The Sky, a two-piece outfit from Vienna, Austria, have nailed it.

No else has listened to this? It's really good. For fans of Fen, Woods of Desolation and An Autumn For Crippled Children.

What an awful band name :/ very much of that whole emo / metalcore / deathcore thing. Musically this sounds quite good though.

"hipster black metal" is the term.

"hipster black metal" is the term.

Musically it's very of the time so quite hipster-y, but I'd say the name is not so much. Something that uses something as cheesy as Japanese suicide methods with the term "Sky" to me reeks of swoopy haired Black Veil Bride-alikes more than the neck-beard wearing hipster black metal sorts

The thing about the hipster black metal style: theres no difference between it and the non-metal.

To actually put in a decent comment here, this album is ok. Mix of slow and fast tracks, vocal work is a little rough. Drum tone is a little overproduced, but overall its alright.

Eh I'm with Tanner on this one. Nothing special about this at all for me. And at some points the guitar tone is simply cringe-worthy, so that knocks it down quite a bit for me.

After their excellent debut, was pretty disappointed with this one. Nothing really sticks. The Mad World cover was cool though.

Man, three bands that have taken a positive step forward from their previous release(s) IMO are getting blasted pretty heavily on this site: Lantlos, Falloch and this.

I agree with you on Lantlos, definitely! I'll have to check out Falloch.

That's what kept me away from this band... Until I listened to the new promo songs they released that hooked me up. As a fan of WoD I really enjoyed their music.
