In case you didn't know, progressive death metallers De Profundis are preparing the release of a new EP called Frequencies. Furthermore, today you can already hear the first bit of new music from them, namely the song "A Strange Awakening." You can stream it below on YouTube or Soundcloud, depending on what you prefer. This also marks the first release for the band with guitarist Paul Nazarkardeh.

All release details for the EP and touring news will follow over the coming weeks.

I knew the cover art looked suspiciously familiar...it's by the same artist that worked on Oranssi Pazuzu's latest (perhaps their other albums as well, I don't know).

Edit: good, but didn't grab my pique my interest that much - I hope the remaining tracks live up to the quality of their last album.
