I have listened to it a couple of times now. Might be the best avantgarde metal record I've heard this year.
Edit: this of course is not an avanrgarde metal record. Rather, it is a very nicely done prog rock album.

Really nice record, although I think 'The Assassination Of Adam' ruins the consistency and immersion of it. I wouldn't call this metal though, more like prog rock with electronic influence (and a bit of noise rock on the ill fitting track, and some jazz on the last one). Offramp Cycle, Pattern 22 is such a tune.

This album is absolutely amazing. It generates a peculiar and melancholic atmosphere, quite dark and dreary on the one hand yet also sweetly dreamy and psychedelic. It has quickly become one of my favourite albums from this year and I just can't stop listening to it!

Are you familiar with their back catalog? because I think this is their easiest.

Well, if you're into their back catalogue, this might not be so easy to get into. I mean, they're weirdo heavy avantgarde metal stuff, this is just prog rock. Surprised me, for sure. Need to listen to it more to form an opinion. I really liked the previous record.

The Mortality of Doves is probably my favourite opening track of the year. Toby Driver's vocal performance is unbelievably gripping.

I'm listening to it for the very first time - good stuff, first of their albums that I'm feeling something for.

I quite like this, really soothing music. Unfortunately, I'm rather ambivalent towards the vocals - at times they compliment the music perfectly; at others...not so much. My favourite track has got to be the first one - the vocals on that one are killer.
