Armored Saint have had a fairly liminal existence for a while now. After the untimely death of guitarist Dave Pritchard in 1990 and the subsequent release of showstopper Symbol Of Salvation, the band slowly ground to a halt; John Bush got tapped by Anthrax to replace Joey Belladonna, Joey Vera became involved with both Fates Warning AND Arch/Matheos, and Armored Saint fell by the wayside. Now, after a few attempts and a lot of stalling, it seems like they are finally back.

I was a little disappointed with this, other than Muscle Memory and Full Head of Steam I felt it was just average. The lyrics were kind of strange too. I don't know. I think LA Raza was better. 6/10

This is the first time I give Armored Saint a try, and I am really enjoying what am listening, not something special, but its much better than most of the regular releases these days. John Bush ROLZ

Surprisingly a good album. Better than La Raza IMO, better songs in overall, better riffs, better production and more heavy metal like they used to be.

Nice to see a return from Armored Saint. This album is very solid and has a really strong instrumental performance throughout, not to mention how adventurous songs like "Muscle Memory" and "Dive" are. What prevents me from rating it higher is that these two songs for me completely overshadow the rest of the album, even the more-or-less straightforward metallic title track. I guess if the other tracks lived up to the quality of the aforementioned, then the album could have been more fluent. It's still pretty good from a 30+ year band though.

At first liste, I think this is a strong contender for the title of Best Heavy Metal Album of the year, pretty solid stuff.

After two middle of the road records this one feels right at home. Strong riffs and hooks. Not a single weak track here.
