The awaited return from Cynic to Europe is finally upon us. The progressive trio announced their eagerly awaited European headliner tour in support of their latest album Kindly Bent To Free Us for October. They will be joined by Polish band Tides From Nebula as well as Paul Masvidal's and Amy Correia's shared project Onward With Love. Do not miss this rare opportunity to see the band live in Europe. "We are ecstatic to be coming to Europe and sharing the Cynic frequency with fans across the pond", Masvidal comments. "Cynic will be performing as a trio with many new surprises yet to be seen and heard in this tight format. Actually saw these guys supporting Opeth back in 2008. Granted that was way before Kindly bent... but I'd like to think Cynic are as good a live band as they were 7 years ago. I imagine the setlist isn't dominated by Cynic's latter material, but even if it is, I'd still see them to experience the latter material live.

Pretty much. The material is decent, but definitely not worth seeing live. Not sure what their setlists are like these days though...

I discovered Cynid when they opened up for Opeth seven years ago. Fucking great opener. These days I probably wouldn't see them 'cuz of how extremely bad Kindly Bent bla bla bla was.

Even if they play stuff from the new album, it's never more than 3 or 4 songs usually. So, you have plenty to enjoy if you don't like the latest songs.

Besides, I liked the last album, not as much as others but still enjoyable for sure.
