Zierler - ESC

Highly recommended to any fan of progressive metal. Most of the work here is innovative and of high quality, but sadly that lacquer is tarnished by relatively frequent sections of hackneyed and basic prog metal.

I don't normally give a damn about lyrics, but after hearing 'this song has no chorus' on "No Chorus", I looked them up. Utterly ridiculous.

Top-notch prog, Zierler is a visionary. The variety of music on this album can be overwhelming at first, but after a few listens it's just amazing. And Carpenter KILLS IT here. My album of the year, I think.

10 years of waiting since Beyond Twilight last release was worth it! Insane, dark and complex as always! Masterpiece and album of the year no doubt. This is music for decades I think. More years to delight this piece of art!

I have to thank metalstorm, because I "met" this album sorting high rated progressive albums in the database.
Such a high quality!
(And I love lyrics too!)

I agree with people above that No Chorus sucks. Feels very misplaced in an otherwise strong album. Darkness Delight is absolutely fantastic, reminds me a lot of Symphony X.
