Kvelertak - Announce New Album, Debut Song

Kvelertak break their silence with a bang! The band has just announced their new self-produced album and debuted a song as well. Their third album Nattesferd ("Night Traveller") will be released on May 13th via Roadrunner Records. But the good news continues. The first taste from the record comes in the form of a dystopian anthem titled "1985", and this tune will be available from your usual digital outlets on Friday. Until then, you can spin the tune below as much as you feel like it.

It's pretty disappointing to be honest, but I'm still looking forward to hearing the full album. I loved their debut and am still waiting for something close in quality.

Arik Roper is a legend. Best album artist ever to me.

Decent. A bit too long with nothing very interesting going on. The beginning had me tapping my foot, but that's literally the entire song.

I was expecting more than that .. Hopefully it'll be the weakest song of the album. It's not too bad though...

Damn, that was pretty fucking boring. This guys can do SO MUCH better than this. Fucking boring and repetitive riff.

Sounds a bit better if you play it at 1.5x speed.

Their last album wasn't flirted with more hooky accessible elements as a posed to the more raw approach of their debut, so the apparent direction of the upcoming album (if its going in a more radio-friendly sound)doesn't necessarily surprise me. Regardless though, I still wish they haven't turned into the extreme metal version of The Black Keys.
