The Gentle Storm - Release Live Video

As they are about to begin a South American tour, The Gentle Storm have celebrated that occasion and launched a live video for the tune "Brightest Light" recorded live during their Dutch club tour last November at Boerderij, Zoetermeer. You might recognize the song from their debut album, The Diary. This is a taste of what you can expect from the band live.

Upcoming tour dates:

8th April - Teatro Vorterix, Buenos Aires - Argentina
9th April - Teatro Cariola, Santiago - Chile
10th April - Hangar 110, Sao Paulo - Brazil
2nd July - Be Prog! My Friend Festival, Barcelona - Spain
9th September - ProgPower USA, Atlanta - USA
17th December - Melkweg, Amsterdam - The Netherlands

Eh... Where's Arjen?

Arjen wrote the songs. But he doesn't really need to be there.

I remember hearing that he didn't enjoy playing live. I might be wrong, though.

Great album. And Anneke is the best live singer I've seen*. Consistently awesome.
*Well, top 3 with Mikael Akerfeldt and Devin.

Yes, I don't think Arjen performs live, except for some special shows. I remember he did acoustic shows with The Gentle Storm though.

Anneke is so much better a live singer than Mikael or Devin it isn't eevn funny anymore.

And that coming from someone who doesn't like Anneke's voice at all.

Ah, gotcha. Kinda sounds something like a gifted composer would do.

It's unfortunate but Arjen has got stage fright and has expressed an extreme dislike for touring.
