If you have been following the latest drama in Leaves' Eyes, you know that they are now fronted by new singer Elina Siirala, who replaces the original vocalist Liv Kristine. Apart from a few live appearances, you can now check out the new singer in action on the band's new video clip directed by Rainer ZIPP Fränzen for the tune "Edge Of Steel" from their latest record. What do you think about the new singer?

This clip can be found on the upcoming King Of Kings tour edition (out 03.06.2016).

Doesn't really sound much different from the original. I do like the Liv's version a bit better though, she comes off as the more articulate vocalist between the two when comparing the song to me. Really though, its not much different.

Is it just me or there are tons of Nightwish-wanna-be bands around? In fact I can not even tell apart Nightwish sometimes

Nightwish wannabe? I've always considered Leaves' Eyes more of a symphonic/viking/folk metal mix. In fact, I think they sound very little like Nightwish.

Agreed. Can't see Nightwish similarities at all. Just having a female singer doesn't make you Nightwish. Xandria's Neverworld's End, that was Nightwish.

Yeah... that was a great album, I still can't understand why they replaced Manuela.

At this point even Nightwish sounds like a Nightwish wanna-be band. Kinda like Children of Bodom on everything since Hate Crew.
