Another new song.

I swear I recall not liking Extance but this isn't too bad at all. Could do with roughening up a bit and the vocals being a bit less in your face.

Extance was awesome. This will be awesome.

Of course, it helps being into the whole symphonic/lyrical bent that they've got going alongside with the progressive black.

Aenaon are playing extraordinary music with complex and unique music styles. "Black metal" as description is too poor for such an album. They are not catchy, they are not black, they are not progressive. They create their own i.d. Love it or hate it. So simple.

Who put that sexy sax in my black metal?

Seriously though, it's an amazing touch that really adds to the atmosphere. Also, some of the more dissonant guitar riffs have a DSO vibe. Really digging this.

First Hail Spirit Noir and now this? Greece is exporting very high quality experimental black metal!

This record is so fun and definitely unique. I tend to have a problem with metal when it sounds too corny, but this sounds like they are aware of it.

Along with the sax there is some sitar also in the song void. The best bit is these instruments really go well with the music and doesn't sound forced. Only top notch songwriting can attain that. And as Karla said, the choruses are really catchy.
