I can't believe something that doesn't have any evidence beyond "people who know him", but it wouldn't surprise me if Kvarforth is that kind of violent person. Hell, I wouldn't even be surprised if Nergal released similar types of rage from time to time. Regardless of their antics, I have no problem separating "artist" from "person". If I had a problem with individual musicians I probably wouldn't enjoy Burzum as much as I do did.

Kvarfoth and his girlfriend/wife and kid were staying over at someone I know well (the guy usually has loads of artists staying over when they play in The Netherlands) when Kvarfoth beat the living daylights out of the kid and wife/gf. Of course th epolice wa called and all. And he kicked Kvarfoth out of his house and told him he would never be welcome again. That was during Roadburn a couple of years ago where Kvarfoth got thrown out of the venue as well for sieg heiling in the foyer while bleeding all over the place. Kvarfoth has a life long ban for the 013 venue now.

Nergal has become quite a celebrity here in Poland. He writes for some magazines and webzines, also ones that are not about music at all. You can see him on TV quite often. I also met him twice and had a chance to chat with him for a few minutes. There is nothing violent in him and he does not show any signs of rage. He is very intelligent, well-educated and well-mannered. If you didn't know him, you'd never even think that he is a musician in an extreme metal band. He is exactly the opposite of the stereotype about metal musicians/fans.

The thing is that at least there's an unsurprising factor in Kvarforth's case. I personally don't see why it wouldn't surprise you that Nergal beats his wife.

Of course that what's on the camera ain't the same as what's behind closed doors, but always thinking the worst of people just because of that is definitely not good.

I'm not saying I expect Nergal to beat his wife - er, girlfriend? Whatever the relationship is. And while it may not be the most unsurprising thing that Kvarforth is an alleged wife-beater, just look at Britney Spears. That girl had it all: money, fame, beauty, happiness. Only, behind closed doors, things were not as good as the cameras led on. I'm just saying everyone has their dark side, and some people are really good at hiding it.

What are you talking about? If it wasn't for his celebrity status Behemoth wouldn't have sold-out shows, hundreds of people waiting for the band in shops where they promote their albums and finally ridiculously high album sales (Behemoth in the Top 10 selling records in Poland doesn't really surprise you?).

The Apostasy has a very good song that I kept listening to over and over...
At The Left Hand Ov God.... I love the outro of that song although its say "there is no god but Allah"... very weired from Behemoth and muslims hate it when you put that in music especially Death metal

You are totally right! Arabic is my mother language, and the chanting in the outra is: La Ellah Ella Allah, whuch means there is no god but god.

To me, the band's best period was between 'Zos Kia Cultus' and 'Demigod' (which also happened to be the period in which I first discovered them), even to this day, those two releases still blow me away. 'The Apostasy' and onward wasn't bad, but they were just so very average, like they lack that same "wow factor" that Behemoth were once capable of presenting.
