I'll try to be as short as the record; this is Swedish Death Metal trying to create Grindcore songs, the music is definitely Death Metal, but the Grinding vibe enters with the length of the tunes (0:07 to 2:15 minutes) and the humorous factor, or at least I hope this to be humor, because I don't want to think these guys seriously thought that using "Predator" movies in their album was a cool thing. Finally they speed up some riffs and add a couple of good solos to the mix.
So, the music is actually really good; the 8 minutes of music (or less) are enjoyable enough to call this a fine release actually. But if I were you I'd wait for an album with decent playing-time, at least of course, because I'm not sure if "not" adding Predator is asking too much. In the end, even if the music is good, the fact that this album lasts for only 10 minutes is a yawner for me, there are longer songs than that in Opeth's roster for crying out loud, that won't even give you time to make yourself a decent sandwich or to take a shit?well maybe women will have the time to take a shit in 10 minutes, but using common sense, women that are capable to take a shit in less than 10 minutes won't like a Death Metal album, and even if they do I'm sure they won't like to hear "Predator" while wiping their asses off.
Where was I? Oh yes, this is good music, let's just wait until they release a full-length album and then we'll talk about something decent.
