My friends, you're in front of THE DVD of the year 2007. Of course you have to be a fan of Doom Metal and Candlemass to fully enjoy this release but I can tell you, really, that this "20 Anniversary Party" is a must, a perfect DVD and I hope that you'll run to your record shop as soon as possible to buy this marvelous release if it's not already in your CD/DVD collection of course . Candlemass rocks and this DVD is the proof that this band is among the best of the Metal scene. Now just remember that this "20 Anniversary Party" means also class?

The line-up of this show was simply amazing. Except Messiah Marcollin who was not on stage this night (but we all know that his departure of the band was really chaotic?), all the other Candlemass' singers sang some of "their" during the show with in addition some guests like Mat Levens, JB and Mikael Akerfeldt (yeah that's classy!). The performance of the musicians was great and the track-list was a perfect selection of the best songs of the long discography of the Swedish combo. Nothing is missing here, all the singers (except Messiah... I know it sucks) were better than ever and anyway the music of Candlemass is so good that it is a pure pleasure to watch this concert. If you like Doom or even Heavy Metal I'm sure that you'll love to watch this DVD and maybe that some of you will discover a new band for them through this video recording, because believe me Candlemass is really Heavy (I'm talking about the musical genre) on a side and not so hard of access? The people who don't like or understand Doom should have a look at this DVD, they will probably have some suprises and revelations...

The venue was a bit small and the video recording doesn't look like a really big production. I'm not saying that the images and sound are bad or that it was badly filmed but the venue was small and it clearly didn't look like a concert which was recorded in a stadium. The stage was small, the band couldn't move a lot etc but the audience was great and since that the sound is perfect it's really easy to hear the singers and musicians like the crowd who sang all the choruses during the whole show. Definitely this is one of the best ambiance that I ever seen on a DVD (and it's Doom Metal so believe me it's surprising!). With in addition some little interview between each new singers (it can be a bit disturbing because it stops a bit the concert) and a big special backstage footage of 50 minutes, you can be sure that this DVD doesn't lack of anything. "20 Anniversary Party" is the perfect DVD.

The Candlemass' "20 Anniversary Party" DVD is a masterpiece. This is a must for all the people who like Doom Metal like Metal in general. Well done, with a perfect sound and with a lot of surprises, this is a great DVD and you will not have the right to miss it! Listen to me people, just buy it as soon as possible or you'll miss one of the best DVD ever released! Doom on!

Great dvd but strangely enough Bewitched isn't included here although they played it with Vikstorm on vocals at the concert
