Wyldfyre comes from Germany and plays Rockabilly? At first I tried to wonder why this bind was signed on the German label Rude Records (a subdivision of Remedy Records) but when I had a look on the name of the singer, I quickly understood the reason of this signature. The singer of Wyldfyre is Lutz Vegas the singer of V8 Wankers and despite the fact that Wyldfyre doesn't play Metal they've finally decided to release this album on this label, it's maybe weird but that's a fact, now the Metal labels can also release Rockabilly albums?

What can I say about this "Can You Say Kool?"? Well, for sure it's real Rockabilly and that's not a new kind of crossover between Rock and Metal. Actually, it seems that people use to listen to such music again, these new "Psychobilly" bands are the living proof of this new trend and after all this is not because Wyldfyre comes from Germany that they cannot play such kind of music too? Though even if it's not so bad to listen to "Can You Say Kool?", in the end it can becomes quickly boring. It's well done for sure and Lutz Vegas is a good singer but 18 songs of Rockabilly, it can be quickly boring if you don't use to listen to such kind of music in general.

Some good songs like the melancholic "That Bed Is Much Too Small" are featured on "Can You Say Kool?". In general this album is not so uninteresting if you like Rock in general. Of course the tunes can sound a bit out of date and this kind of music will probably not be for the majority of the young Metalheads who've probably never heard any words about Rockabilly. Here at least the performance of the musicians and singer are really good and even if the production is not perfect, this is a correct album in the end.

If you're a fan of Tarentino's movies and like the sound track that you can hear on this films, "Can You Say Kool?" will be for you. I know it's not Metal but it's signed on a Metal label and played by Metalheads so be open minded and check this release if you want. "Can You Say Kool?" is maybe just a bit too long but it's all but not terrible to listen to this original release.

I didn't give any rating to this album. It was definitely too hard to compare this band to the other Metal bands.
