Sure it's heavy metal, with some Deep Purple inspired organ sounds, but it also has a strong influence of power metal to me, particularly in the vocal style, it sounds something along the lines of Masterplan or Edguy, along with the catchy choruses, and strong melodies.

The songwriting is cringy, and the lyrics are generally bad, but some songs are at least listenable, it's just alot of songs are just poor quality imo.

I can't help disagreeing here. I do not think the song-writing is cringy in any way, you may call the music predictable, unoriginal, but cringy?! No way.

As for comparing this to Edguy... it does injustice to Saffire. Well, maybe I am biased because I can't stand that band.

Jorn's solo music is not that different from Safire's.
