From the cold landscapes of Sweden, we have a brand new doom band called Murinus. Murinus plays slow and sludgy doom metal, comparable to their fellow countrymen Ocean Chief (although they play slightly different styles of doom). The band's first demo consists of 3 songs, but still lasts for almost 20 minutes. The songs are bone crushingly heavy, but don't be afraid because the melodies are not forgotten and they are hidden underneath the hard surface of this demo. I think my biggest complaint must be the vocals, it is not strong neither clear enough. Otherwise, the music is decent, and I can see some good talents here. Read more ›› |
