Aborted have lost one of their guitarists, Danny Tunker, who has quit the band. There is no bad blood and Danny wants to pursue a different path in life. However, he will continue in Alkaloid and different ventures as well. The Belgian brutal death metallers are working on a new album and will try out candidates in the next few weeks for the spot.

Nightwish - Win 'Metal Anthem Of The Year' Award

Nightwish have announced that their song "Shudder Before The Beautiful" was awarded "The Metal Anthem Of The Year" award at Metal Hammer Awards 2015 that were held in Berlin, Germany recently. Nightwish's Troy Donockley and fill-in drummer Kai Hahto took the award on behalf of the entire band. The Finns released the song as a promotional move for their 2015 album Endless Forms Most Beautiful.

King Diamond - New DVD On The Way

King Diamond will soon embark on the "Abigail in concert 2015" tour where the legendary album will be performed in its entirety. So, they couldn't pass on the opportunity to film this event for posterity. The heavy metallers will be recording a feature length live concert video for Blu-ray/DVD/digital release while on tour this fall. Director Denise Korycki (Cannibal Corpse, Killswitch Engage) has been enlisted to direct the project, which will include footage from multiple shows throughout the entire tour.

Hard rock veterans Scorpions have posted online a previously unreleased demo version of a song called "Running For The Plane", written and recorded during the Blackout sessions in 1982. The demo of "Running For The Plane" is a rare piece from the band's heaviest era.
