Iron Butterfly - Working On New Album

American psychedelic rock band Iron Butterfly has reformed and is in the process of making a new studio album. Guitarist Mike Pinera (Alice Cooper), who joined Iron Butterfly in 1969, after In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida was released, revealed the news of the band's comeback in a recent interview with blogger Jeff Cramer.

Ephel Duath - Disbands

Ephel Duath are disbanding. It was the founder of the band Davide Tiso who announced it and made the decision to put the avantgarde band to rest. Ephel Duath is essentially his baby and he decided to let it go. The band's vocalist Karyn Crisis has her new project Gospel Of The Witches and Davide Tiso is also involved. So, at least you will be able to continue following his work there.

Hord - Split Up

Hord are no more. The French progressive metallers announced their split today. They formed back in 2002 and released three full-length albums: Reborn From Chaos, The Waste Land and the last one The Book Of Eliot in 2013. According to their last updates, they were working on a new album too.

Battle Beast - Debut New Video

After sharing their song "Touch In The Night," Battle Beast just debuted a new video for another track. Today you can hear "Madness" from their third, upcoming new record Unholy Savior, set for release on January 9th (Europe), January 12th (UK) and January 27th (US) 2015 via Nuclear Blast. Immortal - Members In Legal Battle Over Rights To Band Name

There's been a while since we have heard of Immortal. But there might be an explanation for it. According to Dagbladet.no, members of the legendary Norwegian black metal band are embroiled in a legal dispute over the Immortal trademark. The group's frontman Abbath (Olve Eikemo) has attempted to claim rights to the Immortal name via his sole proprietorship Eikemo Compositions. The application has been stopped by a lawyer representing lyricist/guitarist Demonaz (Harald Nævdal) and drummer Horgh (Reidar Horghagen), who want the Immortal trademark to be shared by all three members. So, Abbath doesn't want to share?

Massacre - Terry Butler And Ed Webb Leave, Cancel Tour

Things aren't looking good for Massacre. The Death Dta Tours has informed that due to several factors, the death metallers will not be taking part in the Symbolic 20th Anniversary European tour in late February/March 2015. Unfortunately, Massacre also had to cut their participation in the Swamp Leper Stomp '14 tour with DTA, Obituary and Rivers Of Nihil by one show. Bassist Terry Butler and vocalist Ed Webb issued joint statements indicating that they have left the band.

Korn - Jonathan Davis Pens Track For Diabetes Charity

Korn frontman Jonathan Davis has penned the new song "So Unfair" about his son's struggle with Type 1 diabetes. All proceeds will go to the non-profit organization JDRF, a leading global organization funding Type 1 diabetes research. Every dollar donated is an entry to win a trip to Bakersfield, California to create and record a song with Jonathan Davis at his private recording studio.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of one of Judas Priest's best albums: Defenders Of The Faith. On March 9th 2015, a newly expanded 3CD version of the heavy metallers 1984 album Defenders Of The Faith will be unleashed. This special 30th Anniversary Edition includes the original ten-track album, fully remastered and a complete live recording from the Defenders tour, recorded at the Long Beach Arena in California on 5th May, 1984.
