This is the first official live audio publication by the band and their first release in eight years. The album comes from their 2005 Sonic Solstice performance in Oslo, which was originally released on DVD. It has been edited and remastered for CD and vinyl release through Finnish label Blood Music with a June 3rd release date.

Acheron has released a statement regarding the departure of their drummer Kyle Severn. The long-time drummer leaves due to "ongoing internal problems" and says that "it's personal. I don't feel the need to go running my mouth about it. It has nothing to do with the music. It's nobody's business besides Vince and I." Now Vincent Crowley responded to those statements and confirms that he and Kyle Severn can't work together anymore. Despite Kyle's departure, Vincent and Art Taylor are already working on new music.
