quite disappointed from first listen. few good parts in the middle but some long, boring piano parts that are just unnecessary. was expecting better, but maybe itll grow on me

Quite awesome, alien, dissonant, dense, dynamic, atmospheric, bassy technical death metal from Profound Lore. Technical in the same way as Ulcerate is technical. Their drums actually sound quite like Ulcerate's as well, though the overall sound is not as dense.

Quiet good. Two more tracks on bandcamp are also promising. Thanks.

Meh, to me that sounds messy and a bit boring. I don't think they have total command of the type of music they want to make.

It's not relevant to this topic but you can find MS award discussion here and vote for The Nihilistic Front in extreme doom metal category here if that's what you mean.

Some actually quite nice sounding DSBM to bring us into 2014. Nice melodies, non-annoying vocals and some tasteful piano melancholy.

Thanks for the tip! Very nice stuff indeed...

Also, the fact that they give us the whole thing for free on their fb page is fucking glorious and their music sharing policy is awesome: "you can upload it anywhere you want without even asking us for permission"

Their EP was laughable, but this Debut is pretty decent if you can get over the Nattramm style vocals.
