Chron Goblin - Backwater

Again a little forgotten gem of stoner metal. It's not because I'm Canadian please believe me (though it does help), I just think this record fucking rules.

Is it the most original and groundbreaking album? Definitely not but this type of riff worshipping stoner puts a smile on my face every time. It's more of the goods you love done properly and packaged neatly to ensure maximum headbanging. The guirar work is fun and catchy, the production is just right and the vocals are well done. What more can you want. These guys also know how to surprise you left and right, changing direction mid-track.

I swear, we've got some unknown titans of stoner metal in Canada with these guys, Barn Burner, Black Wizard and Sons Of Otis. 🇨🇦
