This is over a large part a pretty good album, better than their debut. I like the songwriting for the most part and the melodic approach, while the vocals drag it down for me.
I would drop the thrash metal tag here. There was a mix of thrash and death on the debut, here it is only death metal, or actually rather melodic death metal, or progressive death metal.
