Looking forward to this one, the first song sounds great and their last album was my favourite of 2020. Is that the album cover shown above, or just being used until we have an actual album cover, because I'm sure it says "Interbeing" in the bottom right, so is probably just the cover for the first song?

Good spot, I went on their FB you're right, there is a different artwork; I've edited it now

I've given the promo one spin so far, so am not entirely familiar with it - but unless I have a drastic reassessment with continued replays, this will most likely be my AOTY. Of all the bands in this post/prog-metal sphere (and I dig most of them), Psychonaut are, with only 2 albums under their belt, right at the very pinnacle

Wow, that's something coming from you. I can't wait to listen to this album now. Just need to buy it first and then put it on repeat.

I new just from 30 seconds in this was going to be something truly remarkable and I wasn't wrong, the drumming is breathtaking the guitar work is stunning and it's brilliantly constructed with an amazing sound quality! Mastodon should take a lesson from this, I mean this is the standard they once used to play at.
There's no doubt in my mind that this will be a worthy contender for post metal AOTY! And the title track is one of the most impressive songs I’ve heard this year aswel

I was swept way with their first album during the pandemic, this one definitely keeps up. Good stuff!

This album takes you on an incredible journey. What an amazing atmosphere. Great song writing. This is the type of album you can listen 10 times and hear a new nuance every time.

I tried to leave all expectations behind when going in considering how much I love their debut, but to me this just sounds like a watered down version of that. I wasn't grabbed by a single track, but I still wouldn't call it a bad album. I can recognize its positive traits for what they are but can also say absolutely nothing resonated with me this time around. I even did a little investigation into my reasoning by listening to Unfold the God Man in its entirety to see if my tastes changed in the past couple years but that isn't the case. Oh well, hopefully next time I get to experience that same captivation as I did before.

Try to focus on Interbeing. That main riff is very good and heavy. Also vocal harmonies are interesting. Then title track. Some nice guitar moments and vocal lines. Also Age of Separation is good. Otherwise not that epic as debut and songs like The Fall of Consciousness or Sananda. Also production is somehow thinner and less dynamic.

Well, I wasn't entirely sure whether I liked this until I saw that they're playing near me in November. I instantly bought tickets so I guess that settles it. I should probably revisit the debut.
