Not expecting anything here after the disappointing Ghost Of Orion.

I must belong with the minority that enjoyed Ghost Of Orion. Very hopeful for this release.

I actually enjoy this new wave of more atmospheric doom metal like Ghost of Orion too, cant say the same thing for A Line Of Deathless Kings, For Lies I Sire and A Map Of All Our Failures

Two singles are out and after huge disappointment of Orion their music is back to what it was. I am genuinely excited and cannot wait till next month

The singles are closer to Feel the Misery than to Ghost of Orion and that's good for me. looking forward to this one

"Her Dominion", too. Definitely the two standout tracks.

This album is their best effort since "Songs of Darkness...". Outstanding. It was worth waiting for.

Cant judge this, to me well of cours its not as ''Turn Loose The Swans'', ''The Angel And The Dark River'', ''Like Gods Of The Sun'', but it has that dead doom vibes, abit to old school, back to the roots . Might win some awards due its name, but some Danish doom acts has better albums this year. But its not bad, maybe best after ''Like Gods Of The Sun''. Even last 2 (If I remember well was Ok to)

Instantly bought my copy. Im gonna be biased no matter what since MDB is one of my favorites, but this is definitely better than The Ghost Of Orion.

Saturnus even year ago, Blazing Eternity today, and Altar Of Oblivion in June.

Another strong release from the doomiest doomers out there! It's dark, emotive, powerful, heavy, and beautiful, and once again Aaron's voice is on top form.

A better album than Ghost Of Orion. It's about what you would expect from My Dying Bride.

exactly my thoughts, this album feels to me the same as when I listened to The Plague Within from Paradise Lost, they are back to the original continuity, I could see this album following Songs of Darkness

First spin, yes, I definitely prefer this to their last album. Glad to see them return to Feel the Misery standards, how I would phrase it. Highlights so far are probably The Apocalyptist and Her Dominion.

That being said, I did not hear anything yet that blew me out of the window, or even made me want to go for an immediate re-spin. Not much, in fact, that hooked with me initially. Though I dont intend to sound too negative here. I just hope something will push me to return to this album soon, because it definitely deserves multiple spins before I rate it and will hopefully come across with a more elaborate assessment of the album.

Not a huge fan of the new raspy vocal style, or the production which seems a bit thin, so for me it's just another MDB album until track 6 which I think is lifted by having more of an English, medieval vibe.

It's a grower. The Apocalyptist remains the favorite song, but the album overall is very consistent. I have heard it some 15 times since release and I don't skip songs. A very good return to form.

I hope the inner turmoil in the band is sorted out soon. MDB usually follow an album with an EP a couple of months later.. curious to see if we get one this type too
