Dödsrit sacrifice some of their punky uniqueness for a folksy, other uniqueness. The result? Cascadian metal, Nordic style.

I wish they utilized more of D-beat like on previous records but whatever, this is very enjoyable epic/melodic black.

I anticipated discovering a beautiful album solely by glimpsing at the cover art of a band I had no prior knowledge of. In 2024, fenomenal "Post Blackgaze" album from Sweden was added to my list.

I wasn't expecting such a great album tbh, it's such an epic journey with some truly stunning melodies. It's one of my favorite releases so far this year, last track especially. I'll have to see if it remains that way by the end of the year.

Great melodic black metal! I'll definitely be listening more to this album, the longer songs like "Irjala" and "As Death Comes Reaping" are worth mentioning as highlights from the record, they really took me on a journey

Love it, a lot of punk vibes and for a change we can hear the bass clearly. I also liked the melodies a lot, great album.

This is great. I'm wondering how the hell I didn't know about this band. I have to go through their earlier albums

The album is well-crafted and pleasant, but the soundscape and style doesn’t really resonate with me. I think some bands that have inspired this band and album (I am guessing Agalloch are one of them) have similar music with much more edge and depth to it. It’s not bad, it’s actually pretty good, but I think there’s room for improvement in the songwriting department.

This is very pretty really good sounding. Some great guitar leads too. My only complaint is that it doesn't have much edge. But still a lovely listen.
