Great album. I'd still say I prefer the last two over this one (Sea Of Tragic Beasts being my favorite) but this album still slaps. It's distinctive yet different because they've traded some of the heaviness for this sense of scale and grandeur

Not really no. I don't care what boxes it does or doesn't fit into so long as it makes me bang my head and this album does that without fail. The only track that I would merely call "good" is weirdly... the title track. The vocals are to me the best they've ever been, it's got both atmospheric and emotional power hitters and also just caveman wall-to-wall ragers. Idk i'm not a music expert so I couldn't explain it very well but I don't understand what I'm seeing in this that no one else is
