Let there be great heavy metal

Heavy metal with great vocals and tons of energy. Wicked good.

Her vocals remind me slightly of Farida Lemouchi from The Devil's Blood, Mlny Parsonz from Royal Thunder and that other vocalist from this other band I can't remember. Excellent album.

I saw them live at Up The Hammers Festival this year where they were fantastic, as is their album, which is one of the highlights of the year for me.

Vocals are catchy and outstanding. And I Cry is the standout song.

I've been so out of the loop I only now realised the extent of the traditional metal revival in the last decade or so. Between this one, Black Sword Thunder Attack, Century, and Vultures Vengeance, I've had more fun and excitement rediscovering metal than in years. Venator and Helms Deep are pretty good too. (New Pagan Altar fits right in, but I already expected to love it.)

I also started going through the Sabbath and Priest catalogues from the beginning. I was so sure of my identity as a doom fan, with a little bit of m atmospheric/folky BM and experimental weird stuff on the side (and power metal just for nostalgia) that I'd sort of forgotten how good old school heavy metal can be.
