Grave - Hating Life

This album is OK for what it is, but obviously tarnished the underground reception Grave had made for themselves with those first few records. The production is somewhat scathing (not in a good way), and the majority of the songs here veer towards mindless chug territory than they do actual contribution towards the songwriting. Nonetheless, the band continue here to try and make a heavy, if not altogether solid DM sound.

I really like this album. It's totally different to everything else Grave has released. Vocal is more raw than growly. Riffs are more groovy and chuggy... clearly influenced by early 90's noise rockers such as Helmet and The Mark Of Cain. Solid release.
