This album is seriously underrated. I remember listening to this album and expected some lazy and uninspired 90's thrash, but instead got my ass handed to me. I've read that the drummed had some accident and they had to use samples and a drum machine, which doesn't make the overall output any less enjoyable in my opinion. One could argue that Open Hostility is way too traditional and old-school considering the time it was released, but I don't think that fans of the genre really care. I sure don't.

Edit. I must say though, that Bob Reid's vocals feel so one note when compared to maestro Sheepdog's magical vocal assault.

It took me a long time to appreciate Bob Reid's vocals but you're right this is a great album.

He gives them more of a crossover sound, whereas those early Sheepdog records are full on speed-metal assaults.

Great band and I was gutted not to be able to finally see them earlier this year when the pandemic hit and their UK visit was pulled. The promotor has promised to rearrange a date in 2021 so hopefully my time will finally come!
