They are good live. The thing is, their music sucks.

I almost never buy live albums because I think songs loose their atmosphere and magic when played live. It becomes only a 'live song' like any other. Let alone a live album from Dragonforce (live or studio, I hate their music anyway).

You should see Blind Guardian live, that's magic....if you're in their kind of music.

I have live concerts of Blind Guardian, Judas Priest and Die Apokalyptischen Reiter and all i found very good (if not brilliant by BG)

besides i think live playing is the real deal much more how studio songs - as seen on DragonForce's example, great sound mastering in studio doesnt mean being great...

Not so 'StudioForce' anymore. This live album is great, all their great tracks on two discs' to tide fans over till they find a replacement vocalist.

This live album sounds great due to all the overdubs put on in the studio afterwards. Just like Judas Priest - Unleashed in The East

Maybe so, but a little tweaking was inevitable and essential so we can't really berate it because of that. More importantly, those actual live performances were all pretty good anyway I thought.

Good cd. ZP is a fucking ass, though. So glad he left the group. Hopefully they'll get a real singer now.
