Pharaoh - Bury The Light

"Castles in the Sky" is one of the best power metal songs I've heard in years! I can't wait for this to be released...

I wasn't too impressed by the sample songs released before, but the full album sounds great.

This album is utterly badass in every way. I thought for sure "Castles in the Sky" would be my uncontested fave, but then a song like "Cry" comes along. Holy shit, I can't get enough of this song; both emotive and insanely catchy at the same time.

The best straight out power metal album I've heard in years.

I think we might have a serious contender for Power metal album of the year here, tight stuff! Loving "The Wolves" and "The Year Of The Blizzard".

I was drawn towards this by the cover. At first I didn't really like it, the first 2 songs that were released didn't convince me. Now I came back and heard the entire album, it's awesome...

I can quite confidently say my head has been well invested. This album is pretty much close to perfection for me, but I do have an insatiable appetite for Power metal of this kind (the edgier, US style). Very melodic and very catchy, the kind of riffs and choruses that stick in your head long after you've finished listening.

I eagerly await a review! These guys are criminally overlooked and need far more exposure.

Just woke up and I must tell you that my doubts have been blown away. Yes, it is edgy, and it's METAL, and it's awesome. That singer! Those riffs! Man. I couldn't sleep for quite some time after listening to it.

Ha, yes, I'm glad for my head's safety also! Man, it kills. Maybe a microscopic hair short of Be Gone for me, but still absolutely incredible.

I think it's fair to say this will end up in my top 10.... possibly 3.

Edit: Wow, my multiplicitous domination of the list category looks pretty tacky.

Cool, I probably will, this album beats 99.99% of 2011's power metal albums for sure.

I'll have to rethink my ratings for this year and organize them properly, but this will definitely remain a nine.

I've never explored this band properly, but then again I listened to something from them long ago I thought it was quite generic, I will give them a second chance as soon as I have some time for it.

I hope you will enjoy it, very far from being generic I recommend The Longest Night as starter.
