Every once in a while, you come across a band for whom the label "death metal" is an understatement. Corpsessed's debut album is more like "slavering jaws of the supreme ravenous death beast metal."

Deep in the damp and dark cavernous depths of the Earth, a primal growl turns mountains to dust.

That artwork though...

Surprised you like it, seems pretty standard to me.

If this was the standard then artwork would be a lot better across the board

I'm expecting a quality record considering its record label.

Agreed with Troy, I don't see anything special with it.

I guess it's no photo of a house with a cheap instagram filter over the top of it

In all seriousness though the brush technique and detail on it is fantastic, especially around the head area. Great design. Far better than most other artwork of a similar type.

I like it a lot. Sweet album cover for sure, great subtle song names, and MUSIC! Death Metal with more of a conceptual blackened atmosphere. I don't mean to over-hype but some of the details pulled off by the instruments, especially the drums, are very remarkable. All the while your being crushed by commendably created riffs, never swaying much from their genre. Ill say Necrosophic Channeling is a very stand out track but most of them are quite good.

I thoroughly enjoyed this album through and through. I love Old School Death Metal, and this hits that early 90's scratch I always have.

Total 90's worship, but very well done. Seeing who's in the band, I'm not surprised. But I'd rather listen to some new Tyranny music anyway...

Some new wormphlegm also would not do any harm but I don't think it will ever happen.

why? Just because ONE member is part of Tyranny? And NO live memebers don't count.

More or less same question I asked Daniell but then replace Tyranny by Wormphlegm.

Remember when I said that Lord Vicar are successors to Reverend Bizarre? Same principle here

I know it's wrong, but what the hell, I still want to hear new Tyranny songs.

I see that Danille Gauvin's artwork is here. A really talented woman, without a doubt. I have seen some of her works before, and I was impressed (check out Adversarial's art, if you haven't seen yet).
