This album definitely was the biggest surprise of 2015 for me, because I didn't expect that Pyogenesis would release a new record after so many years, and I expected even less that its theme would be the industrial revolution. Moreover, A Century In The Curse Of Time does not sound like any of the previous Pyogenesis records. Surely, there are some riffs and vocals reminiscent of the later punk rock period of the band, while Lifeless and the bonus track Touch the Sky remind me of their short gothic/doom period, but overall this album has its own unique sound, which is just great.
In the end, I didn't expect to like this album as much as I did. I definitely will be looking forward to the new works of Flo and Co.
My favourite tracks: Steam Paves Its Way (The Machine), The Best Is Yet to Come, Lifeless, Touch the Sky (When Darkest World Reached Dawn), The Swan King, Flesh and Hair.
