As you can probably guess by the album title itself and some of the song names such as "Cross My Heart And Hope To Die" and "Excuse Me While I Kill Myself" that this is a melancholic, sorrowful and depressive album. And this is exactly how Sentenced want the listener to feel while being pulled into their world of cold, dark and nothingness.

"Depressive heavy metal"

I've never heard of that genre before.

EDIT: And Suomi metal isn't really a great genre name. Naming a band's style of music after where they are from?

Basically the same thing as Gothenburg metal. It's gothic metal from Finland that has a certain flavour to it.

Then what about New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (actually not a musically coherent genre) and Bay Area thrash or Teutonic thrash?

Those aren't genre names either! Heavy Metal, Thrash, and thrash are the proper genre names for those bands.

^ Whether you agree or not, these genre names have been around for a while. If the sound (of music) is specific to a certain place, I got no problem the genre name includes the place where it's created. I can make the list even longer: there's Krautrock, RPI (Rock Progressivo Italiano), Canterbury Prog (Caravan, Hatfield and the North, Egg to name a few bands).

So Suomi Metal makes sense...
