Witnere is a heavy metal band from North West England, formed in 2015 by drummer Jase Tyler and guitarist Dec Doyle. Their lyrical themes focus on history and mythology, and the band created a demo EP in 2016 entitled 'Clandestine Tales'. With the addition of Joel Murphy on vocals, they released their first album 'The Doom of Almand' in 2018, chronicling the life of a legendary Saxon chief of Longdendale, and will performing live in the summer. Their name is old English for 'tormentor'.
