Biography
Mordatorium was formed in late 2007 by guitarists Andrew Oosterbaan and Michael Moibenko. The band dissolved in late 2008, and was subsequently continued as a solo project by Oosterbaan. The compilation album "Mordatorium" was self-produced and released digitally in 2009.
"The Dark Crusade" was written and released in October 2011. In the following year "Raw" was written, being recorded in late 2013 and released in August of 2014. "Raw" saw a shift in style towards a decidedly less melodic and more purely death metal influenced sound.
Following the release of Raw, a full lineup of the band was realized in the form of longtime collaborators Jared Muench and Nigel Bravo, along with the addition of drummer Pearl Kacew. Since then, the band has actively been performing live and have begun work on a fourth album.
