Torn Apart was founded in early 2005 by David Eliasson (Guitar) Mikael Sandström (Guitar) and Alexander Wegebro (Drums). Torn Apart was determined to be a Death Metal band to be reckoned with, since there is not many death metal bands in Umeå, Sweden. The band played together from June to August before asking their friend Petter Johansson (Bass) to join the band. Because of the lack of a singer David and Petter asked their friend and previous band member of Mordial, Christoffer Långström to join them on vocals. Before recording their first demo they played numerous shows including the Ume-Metal Open Air Fest. They have also played along side artists such as Dismember, Satariel, Zonaria, My Own Grave and many others. In June of 2006 Torn Apart entered Starfruit Studio to record their first 4 song MCD which gave them a contract with the sub-label of Grotesque Productions. The "Craving Pale Flesh" mcd was released in april 2007. The band still has it's original line-up and because of their low age they think that they have a good chance to develop, both musically and personally.
Unfortunately, Alexander decided to participate in the swedish military service which put the band on hold for almost a year. The band continued to write material for their first full-length album and it will be recorded in the fall 2007. The band is going to start look for a new label during the summer.
