Biography
Reciprocal was formed in January of 2007 when vocalist Jacob Enfinger and guitarist Andy McLeod met guitarist Alex Crescioni and drummer Dustin Perle via online "musicians wanted" ads. Recognizing each others' musicianship, professionalism, and dedication, the four together established one of the sickest death metal bands of its time.
In an effort to find a bassist, the band had posted their performance online, and were then approached by Unique Leader Records. The band signed with the label late 2007, and still remained without a bassist.
In early 2008, Reciprocal decided to ask Brain Drill bassist Jeff Hughell if he would be interested in joining after break-up rumors of his band were confirmed. He agreed to perform as a session player on their debut album and offered to play the band's first show at The Black Castle in Los Angeles. The show was a success, and the performance was proof the band was explosive live. Shortly afterward, Jeff decided to join Reciprocal as a permanent member.
Reciprocal were due to record in the fall of '08. Before the band set foot in the studio, personal differences resulted in the loss of a member. Alex decided he would leave the band after he finished recording his parts for the album. Determined, the band moved on as a four-piece.
Due to business disagreements, Reciprocal and Unique Leader parted ways toward the end of 2009, and the band set an official independent release date of November 19, 2009 with a record release show scheduled at the Whisky A Go-Go. The show was brutal, and hailed a success by all who were in attendance.
Reciprocal are currently seeking distribution for their first album, and will be touring in 2010. Currently Reciprocal are writing new material for their second effort. They are also searching for a second guitarist to complete the original five-piece lineup.
