Biography

We write the year 1979. The world of rock is still in order; real superstars were born, not made. Musicians understand their trade; the sounds are real - and hard! "AC/DC" publishes the album "Highway to hell" just now and the "Scorpions" draw attention to themselves for the first time. In this time, it happens that two of the "most talented musicians from Southern Germany" (quote Dieter Dierks, "Scorpions"), Lothar Antoni (chant and guitar) and Markus Berger (guitar) establishes the band TRANCE. A formation, whose power reflects all ups and downs of the Rock Business.

At first the career of the Rock-Quartet from the South-Palatine Edenkoben points steeply upward. Already the first two long players "Break Out" and "Power Infusion", sell over 150.000 despite moderate promotion within shortest time. Until then TRANCE is still regarded as a hot traded quiet tip. Suddenly, this changes as the group 1985 publishes its long player "Victory".

The technical press is keen on interview dates, songs like "Break the chains" or "Rien ne va plus" conquers the rockcharts throughout Europe. TRANCE seems to be at the summit of its career. In UK, Belgium and the Netherlands, the team Antoni/Berger enlists into the top-ten of the national Rock Charts.

However, the allegedly career-promoting change to the producerteam of the "Scorpions" almost becomes TRANCE to the undoing. Title disputes with the former management about the band name block new productions, the "Scorpions" become chosen to the number one of the lable abruptly.

But Lothar Antoni, who writes the most successful rock-classics of TRANCE doesn't resign. Prominent support immediately appears already on his next album of "Rockers": Percy Sledge. The master of soul indicates enthusiastically from the rock-version of his success hit "When a man loves a woman"- and without further ado he sings together with Lothar Antoni in the Frank Farian Studios in Saarbrücken today's still best "Cover version" of the millionfold sold evergreen.

At the same time Michael Bolton conquers with a reprint of that number the hit parades and even collects a Grammy, this seems to be symptomatic for the position of a Rockband in the age of mirrorballs and discorhythms. TRANCE has to accept another set-back as the group has fallen out with each other as a result. Temporarily Antoni and Berger are left alone. As the long-time companion and friend Andreas Meyer offers himself as a guitarist, it goes with TRANCE into a new round. In a londoners underground-studio, old TRANCE songs are played in again, on top of everything there is the brand-new album "Die Hard." At this time the distribution of the newest TRANCE production is consciously concentrated on the Asian area. Successful! In South Korea, they could convince a renowned music publishing house with "Die Hard", the album gained placements in the most different hit parades.
..
Antoni and Meyer didn't appear wearily with a new cast and a new band name to start the way in the studio again. In January of this year, TRANCEMISSION therefore went on the most recent mission - into the legendary Principal Studios in Senden/Münster. There where otherwise groups like "In Extremo", "Grave Digger" or "H-Blockx" play in their songs, Lothar Antoni and Andreas Meyer produced together with Joe J. Hagl at the bass and Alex Franken at the drums their newest album. The new album appeared in April 2003 and that simply "... is the best TRANCE album", as Lothar Antoni admits frankly. The rock-veteran doesn't want to betray nearer yet. "The people finally should go and see for themselves from it", according to Antoni.

The Release-Party took place in the secret rock-metropolis, the hall in the South-Palatine Herxheim near Landau before 800 raging fans.
During the years 2003, in addition to TV and radio dates several concerts and festivals. In November 2003, the CD "Back in Trance II," the semi-finals of the German Rock and Pop Music Prize 2003 ": The result was a placement in the front third at the last 50th Thus the year 2003 could be completed successfully.

Due to a planned extended stay abroad of primeval rock Meyer, were the possibilities of the band in 2004 severely limited. So focused the remaining members on personal projects. However, it did not take the Kombo, in the summer an appearance meddle.
2005 - Catching up with the events of the year 2003, the band quickly realized that a new CD has to be published. In August 2005 the next album "BACK IN TRANCE II" was recorded and published in October 2005 under the name of "MINE"
