Just returned home from it. And somehow I wasn't all that impressed. I expected their material to appear mightier on stage, but all in all there were only two songs worth their money: Once Sent From A Golden Hall for being the only REALLY heavy song and Asator for summoning the best pit of the evening. Death In Fire as their über-song was played as third song of the set when there wasn't all that much atmosphere yet, and afterwards there wasn't that much more atmosphere either, which was kinda surprising since the venue was totally sold out. A solid and well-mixed setlist (I missed Metalwrath though), but except for those two songs it didn't leave me impressed.
Wintersun had done a good job as support. Very good and heavy sound and if I don't have any voice tomorrow, it's definitely not due to Amon Amarth. For me the better act of the two if I judge just this night. The set was kinda short though.
Tyr never really were interesting for me, so I went for a pizza before they went on stage. When I returned they still were on stage. My conclusion after just two minutes: pizza > Tyr.
