Laethora, the Swedish death/grind band featuring Dark Tranquillity guitarist Niklas Sundin and members of progressive metal band The Provenance, will release their second album The Light in Which We All Burn worldwide through The End Records on April 27th, 2010.
Mastered by Peter In de Betou (Dark Funeral, Meshuggah, Hypocrisy), The Light in Which We All Burn is an epic thirteen-track album taking into account all of the members' eclectic tastes in music, featuring violent and powerful death/grind metal performed with intense passion and ferocity.
From the opening calm-before-the-storm beginning of "Ekpyrosis" to the thrashing rage of "World Deluge" and the open-chord ecstasy of "Humanae", the album truly shines in its diversity and dedication. The instrumentation is flawlessly executed with an organic and vibrant approach far from today's sterile extreme metal delivery.
"Humanae" is currently streaming on the band's MySpace page.
Sundin comments on the track: ""Humanae" is one of the more eclectic songs from the album, and it's a good representation of what we wanted to achieve. Elements from different extreme metal subgenres are blended with more progressive chord progressions, all topped off with an epic ending part that still sends shivers through our spines. Hope you'll like it, and stay tuned for more updates as the release date draws closer."

Another track, "Humanae" was already available for streaming. A release date for The Light In Which We All Burn has been set to May 11.

Laethora, the side project of Dark Tranquillity guitarist Niklas Sundin and Joakim Rosén, Jonnie Tell and Joel Lindell from The Provenance have issued the following update:
"Just popped in to say that we are currently waiting to confirm a release date for "The Light In Which We All Burn" and this is one release you really shouldn't miss out on. The album is incredibly strong and having had some time off since the recordings, we can clearly state in retrospect that it is indeed a splendid collection of songs.
Peter in de Betou has done an excellent job with the mastering and we're so looking forward to unleashing the wrath of hell unto the world.
The first photo shoot for press release was successful and we're all in mint condition, looking more handsome than ever, so don't stare for too long unless you welcome the feeling of inferiority. We'll be back soon with more info on release date so until then; stay wretched!"

Dark Tranquillity guitarist Niklas Sundin and Joakim Rosén, Jonnie Tell and Joel Lindell from The Provenance made up a death metal project called Laethora. They will be releasing their debut album "March of the parasite" in Europe on February 26.

Laethora, the new band featuring members of Dark Tranquility and The Provenance have signed to The End Records for release in North America and Australia.
On their official website the band posted the following statement :
"The Laethora collective is pleased to announce our signing to The End Records for the North American and Australian territories. We're content that the cooperation will be prosperous for both parties and are looking forward to delivering some quality metal to the masses. The debut album, 'March of the Parasite,' is still being finalized, but a teaser rough mix of the track "Black Void Remembrance" can be experienced by visiting laethora.com or by obtaining the 'Alternate Endings' sampler CD from The End Records."
The band will release their forthcoming album 'March of the Parasite' sometime in 2006.
