It's been 10 years since Canadian death metal legends Gorguts released their most recent full length effort Colored Sands, but according to guitarist/vocalist Luc Lemay, the band (who just wrapped up U.S. tour with Cannibal Corpse) will begin working on their next album later this fall for a tentative 2024 release.

This October Canadian death metal veterans Gorguts will be heading out on a headlining North American tour. Currently touring in Europe, Canadian technical death metallers Gorguts became victims of vandalism when a man smashed through their tour bus window with his bare hand. The incident took place on March 29th at 12:35 a.m. when the band's tour bus was parked outside the Sound Control venue on New Wakefield Street in Manchester, England, according to Manchester Evening News. In closed-circuit TV footage released by the police, which can be seen below, the man is seen walking up alongside the Gorguts vehicle. For no apparent reason, he punches the glass window.

Gorguts have announced a new European tour and the bill is impressive. The tech metallers will embark on a trek starting on March 23rd 2016 at the Inferno Festival with Psycroptic, Dysrhythmia and Nero Di Marte accompanying them until April 17th in 2016. After releasing their first new album in 12 years, Colored Sands, Canadians Gorguts are now working on its follow-up. The technical metallers are currently working on new material and their only upcoming live performance is scheduled for August at Canada's Heavy MTL Festival 2015. Hopefully, now it will take them less time to release a new album. For now, rest assured that they are working on new songs already and the creative juices are flowing.

Century Media Records has announced the reissue of two groundbreaking technical death metal albums, Obscura and From Wisdom To Hate, by long-running Canadian legends Gorguts on April 6th, 2015 in Europe and April 7th in North America. These 2015 editions were created in close cooperation with Luc Lemay, who reveals the entire history of these ambitious records in the accompanying liner notes and both are dedicated to the memory of former members Steeve Hurdle (R.I.P. 2012) and Steve MacDonald (R.I.P. 2002). Canadian metallers Gorguts have parted ways with drummer John Longstreth, also in Origin. The decision was announced by John himself and confirmed by Luc Lemay. John Longstreth will not be joining Gorguts on the upcoming tours and will instead be focusing on the new Origin record. According to Longstreth, Patrice Hamelin will be behind the kit with Gorguts this year.
