God Forbid - Working On New Album

"New Jersey's metal titans God Forbid entered the studio this week with longtime producer Eric Rachel (Atreyu, The Dillinger Escape Plan) to begin tracking their much anticipated new full-length album. This new effort is the follow up to the group's most successful offering yet, "IV: The Constitution Of Treason", and the depth and diversity on this disc is easily going to position the band as of one the most innovative bands within the genre. This is an entirely new God Forbid that have matured beyond their years and are now more focused than ever before.
Doc Coyle (guitars, vocals) states: "Here we are! We have begun recording the new God Forbid album at Trax East in South River, NJ with Eric Rachel. Everyone in the band is really focused on this record and super excited about the songs. We did a very in depth pre-production for the last 2 weeks, where a lot of kinks have been worked out. There is more preparation for this album and any previous one. We have to give serious thanks to Steve Lagudi, who brought an entire studio to John's house to record pre-pro, and busted his ass engineering and tracking for two weeks. The material is varied and challenging, and I definitely feel another shift in the trajectory of our sound. We will be doing a studio blog keeping everyone posted about the progress, and also video taping as much as possible. Stay tuned to our MySpace page http://www.myspace.com/godforbid for updates. God Forbid - Canadian Tour Cancelled
God Forbid has cancelled their weeklong Canadian trek as direct support to Protest The Hero. Their only remaining show for 2006 will be a headlining performance in Levittown, NY at Club Ritual on Dec. 8th. God Forbid will return to the road in 2007 for the "Chains of Humanity" tour with Goatwhore, Mnemic, Arsis, The Human Abstract and Byzantine in the support slots.
Doc Coyle (guitars, vocals) states: "Due to an inability to come to an agreement over a discrepancy between the booking and announcing of a Toronto show on our on headline tour, God Forbid and Protest The Hero mutually decided it would be best if we didn't take part in the upcoming Canadian run. We are very disappointed that this couldn't be worked out, but we are still friends and fans of PTH and consider this just a postponement of future touring that I'm sure will be bigger and better. Again, we apologize to any Canadian fans who already bought tickets. We will be playing Toronto and Montreal as part of our headline tour with Goatwhore, Mnemic, Arsis, The Human Abstract and Byzantine, so we hope to see you all then."

God Forbid - Set Title For Upcoming Album
Last month GOD FORBID completed the final round of touring in support of their Gone Forever album. The group immediately proceeded to the studio to begin work on their highly anticipated new album, IV:Constitution Of Treason, with Eric Rachel (ATREYU, DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, EVETY TIME I DIE) at Trax East and Jason Suecof (TRIVIUM) at Audiohammer Studios. The eagerly anticipated new album is tentatively set for a September 20th release via Century Media.
Dallas Coyle (guitars, vocals) checks in with the following studio report: "This is Dallas here to let you guys know what's been going on with us. We just finished the Black White Dead All Over tour at the end of April and it was a complete success. I'd like to thank all the people for coming out to the shows and showing us some love. We met a lot of cool people and went to a lot of familiar and unfamiliar cities. Good times. I'd also like to thank all the bands on the Black White Dead All Over tour: It Dies Today, Caliban and Full Blown Chaos.
One day after we finished the tour Corey went into Trax East with producer/long time friend Eric Rachel to lay down the drums for the new record IV: Constitution Of Treason. Currently, we are in the middle of doing guitar and vocals at Audio Hammer Studios with Jason Suecof and everything so far is sounding really special. It's such a relaxed atmosphere and you guys should have a new GOD FORBID record by the end of the year. Don't worry you won't be disappointed. We'll be having some video up of our recording sessions so keep a look out.
We have some new features on www.f-p-e.com with Ferrante's Power Equipment. I have one of the riffs of the month and Doc and I give some tips on guitar playing. Check out if you're a gear head, if you want learn some techniques on guitar. Well, I gotta get going and get back to the studio. Keep rockin out there and raise the new flag."

God Forbid - New Year Message & Title Of New CD
Happy New Year everyone,
First of all, we want to apologize to all the God Forbid fans who were looking forward to seeing us in Pittsburgh as part of the Stillborn Fest. Our transportation broke down and we couldn't make it. We promise to do a make up show in March-April.
2004 has been the best year we have had as a band with a trek on Ozzfest as well as first time tours in mainland Europe and Japan. We'd like to thank Century Media worldwide, Tim and Face the Music Touring, Paul Ryan at the Agency Group, everyone at the Syndicate, and all of the bands we've played with this year. Most of all we have to thank all of the fans who have shown such amazing support. With out the people who attend the concerts, buy the records, and appreciate the music, we wouldn't be doing this.
We'll start work on "IV:Constitution of Treason" at the start of the new year, and I have to say that we are extremely excited. We have never been this comfortable or had this much material already writtten going into writing sessions, so it should be a quick and painless process. There are plans for a headline US and UK tour coming up. We'll see everyone on tour in early 2005! Peace.
