US metallers Necrophagia have revealed the cover artwork of their forthcoming album, Deathtrip 69. The artwork was created by renowned tattoo artist Jake Arnette and will be made available as limited-edition signed prints soon.

Deathtrip 69 will be made available in April 2011 via Season Of Mist. Info on ordering limited edition signed prints of the artwork will be made available soon.

After many, many delays US death metallers Necrophagia have finally finnished song writing for Deathtrip 69. Here's the latest update straight from the band:

"The new material sounds like it should have chronologically followed Season of the Dead. Consisting of very dark and heavy riffs interwoven with audio horror and inhuman vocals. Killjoy is full of praises for the new line up and says that although it's been a very long time since the band has been active it's the beginning of a rollercoater ride into horror hell. Inspiration is at an all time peak and having known guitarist Boris Randall for over 20's years makes things alot easier when it comes song writing "because we are always thinking in the same direction musically". Another element brought back to Necrophagia is lead guitar passages courtesy of Randall.

Songs definately set to appear are as follows: "Beast with Feral Claws", "Suffering Comes in Sixes","Naturan Demonto","Reborn through Black Mass","A Funeral for Solange" and "Tomb with a View".

Necrophagia will mark their return on June 26th 2010 headling the Firewalk Metal Meltdown Festival in Milwaukee. Next up Deathtrip 69 this autumn along with a US/Canadian tour with THE MOST legendary black metal band from Norway (bands and dates will be announced very shortly).

A demo version of "Beast with Feral Claws" will be world premiered on the Necrophagia MySpace Page Saturday April 24th 2010."

"Audio horror masters NECROPHAGIA have almost completed the recording of their upcoming monsterpiece "Harvest Ritual Vol.1" to be released in Europe by Season of Mist in the Spring of 2005. Songs include "Cadavera X", "Return to Texas", "Dead Skin Slave", "Unearthed", "Deathtrip 69", "London (13 Demon Street)", "Excommunicated" and "Stitch Her Further" (which was co-written by Joey Jordison / SLIPKNOT, MURDERDOLLS, who also contributed guest vocals and will be in the video for the song as well). NECROPHAGIA will be hitting the road as the new release hits stores this Spring with all new Horrific stage show. Bill Mosely aka Chop Top from Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 and Rob Zombies' House of 1,000 Corpses has also contributed to the new record and will star in the video for London (13 Demon Street). "Unearthed" will be featured on NECROPHAGIA's next full-length release, "Harvest Ritual Vol 1: Penance", tentatively due next summer. Recording for the CD will take place at state-of-the-art studios around the world and is expected to be completed by the year's end. Basil Gogos (NECROPHAGIA, ROB ZOMBIE, MISFITS) will again be doing the cover artwork, and Cristie "Crusty" Whiles and Nico Claux will be doing additional designs. Other songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Return to Texas", "Cadavera X", "London (13 Demon Street)", and "Bleeding Eyes of the Eternally Damned". Finishing touches are now being put on both NECROPHAGIA DVD releases: "Nightmare Scenarios", which features videos with Coffin Joe, Paul Naschy, Jose Moral and Alex Chandon, among others, and "NecroTorture/Sickcess". "NecroTorture" is a live performance filmed in Valencia, Spain and "Sickcess" is a gore-filled road movie directed by Fred Vogel and Killjoy (both of whom are involved in Toe Tag Pictures). The DVDs will be released before year's end on Red Stream, Inc. Frediablo's design company, Dimidea, designed the cover for "NecroTorture/Sickess" (as well as the upcoming GORELORD/WURDULAK DVD "Drunk, Decayed, and Damned")."
