Rigor Mortis - Final Album Coming In 2014

Thrashers Rigor Mortis have announced the release of their final album for next year. This is the first album with the original lineup since the self-titled Rigor Mortis album that was released in 1988 and will have the title of Slaves To The Grave. This will also be the last Rigor Mortis album and Mike Scaccia's swan song. Mike died last year after a heart attack, but his music will live on.

Rush - Release Clip From 'Clockwork Angels Tour'

Legendary prog rock trio Rush has premiered a clip from the DVD/Blu-Ray version of their upcoming live release Clockwork Angels Tour, which will be released via Anthem/Roadrunner Records on November 19th. Anthem/Zoe Vision/Rounder will simultaneously release the companion Blu-ray/DVD. You can now watch the performance clip of the song "The Garden" at this location. Klone - Reveal New Song From Acoustic EP

Progressive/alternative metallers Klone have unveiled a new song from their yet untitled acoustic EP, which was mixed and mastered by the band's saxophonist Matthieu Metzger and will be available as free download later this year via Klonosphere Records. Freedom Call - New Album Details And Tour Announced

German happy metallers Freedom Call announced recently that their new studio album Beyond will be released on February 21st, 2014 in Europe and March 4th 2014 in North America. The band entered the studio in September to record new material. Following the release, the guys will hit the road on the tour entitled Light Over The Beyond 2014.

Nightwish - Release Clip From 'Showtime, Storytime'

Testament - Release Another Clip From New DVD

After a DVD trailer and a clip of "Rise Up", you can watch Testament perform "Native Blood" from their new DVD/2CD output Dark Roots Of Thrash through the YouTube video here. Deep Purple - Another Clip From Upcoming DVD

The forthcoming Perfect Strangers Live DVD features a show that was filmed in Melbourne, Australia in 1984 and the only full length concert film of Deep Purple - Ritchie Blackmore, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Jon Lord and Ian Paice, at this time. Eagle Rock has now released a clip of the band performing "Black Night" taken from the imminent DVD set for release tomorrow. You can watch it here.

Cradle Of Filth - Enter Comics With 'The Curse Of Venus Aversa'

Cradle Of Filth announced they were preparing some special things for the 20th anniversary of their debut album The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh including a comic book and here it is. The British metallers will publish the 72-page "adult graphic novel" called The Curse Of Venus Aversa which features a story by singer Dani Filth and New Orleans cult comic book author Kurt Amacker (Dead Souls, The 69 Eyes: Helsinki Vampires), who wrote the final script. It tells the story of a "salacious Victorian poet who faces down authorities, hoards of vampires, an ancient goddess, and his own demons ? all that, after the suicide of his lover Gabrielle."

Wolves In The Throne Room - Releasing BBC Session On Vinyl

While there hasn't been any new material from Wolves In The Throne Room since 2011's Celestial Lineage, the black metal band has just announced an upcoming live release called BBC Session 2011 Anno Domini. On October 21st, 2011, Wolves In The Throne Room recorded two live tracks at the BBC's Maida Vale studios. Now Southern Lord confirms a special vinyl release of these sessions in North America on November 26th, 2013.

Benedictum - New Album Coming In November

After the release of Dominion in 2011, heavy metallers Benedictum are returning with a new offering called Obey which is due out on Frontiers Records on November 29th in Europe and December 3rd in North America. The sound of the album is described as "nods to the legends of metal such as early Rainbow, the stylings of Savatage, Warrior, Rough Cutt, and Psychotic Waltz along with shades of Black Sabbath."
