Wyrd - Band Update, Working On New Album
After years of silence, Finnish folk black metal band Wyrd has finally given an update on what they have been working on. Tomi Kalliola aka Narqath says that the drums are done for their new album and that the band is still alive and kicking. The follow-up to Kalivägi (2009) might finally see the light of day.

Wyrd - Sign To Moribund, Announce New Album
Moribund Records issued the following bit of news today:
"Today, Moribund Records officially announces the signing of Finland's Wyrd, one of the underground's preeminent pagan metal bands. Formed and fronted by erstwhile Azaghal guitarist Narqath, for the past decade Wyrd have released eight full-length albums, each one more celebrated than the next, on a number of cult underground labels, including Avantgarde, Solistitium, Millenium Metal Music, Omvina, and Naga Productions.
Now, Narqath brings his muse and Wyrd to Moribund Records, and is currently working on the band's ninth full-length album, to be titled Death Of The Sun - a release for the latter half of the year is tentatively planned. Narqath also intimates that plans are afoot for a professional promo video, and that mixing/mastering chores for Death Of The Sun will likely be a high-profile metal producer. More info coming soon.

Wyrd - Sign To Naga Productions, New Album Out Soon
Well-known Finnish pagan black metal band Wyrd signs to Naga Productions for their upcoming album "Kalivägi". Wyrd's frontman Tomi Kalliola (aka Narqath) also playing in black metal band Azaghal said that "Kalivägi" will be in vein of older Wyrd's albums.
On their MySpace, Wyrd issued the following comment regarding the album: "The earlier announced next Wyrd album "Death Of The Sun" will be delayed into later date because of problems arranging rehearsal and studio times.
But fear not loyal readers, for a new Wyrd album titled "Kalivägi" will be released in early 2009 (possibly February) and it's an return to the more folk influenced black metal sound of the early albums. More infos & samples will follow soon."

Elvenking - Wyrd Will be Released in March 2004.

The mixing is nearly completed! Most of the songs are ready,and Achim Kohler is giving the last touches to "WYRD". The sound created will blow you away!!!
it seems that "WYRD" will be released in March 2004. As soon as there will be a confirmed date of release we will publish it in these pages. In these days things around who will take care of the mastering are being defined. Let you know soon. The band is also working on the layout of the booklet.
ATTENTION: the Pordenone gig of December 7th has been CANCELLED once again due to problems with the venue (again!). We're sorry fot that!!!
