Interesting artwork?

I can do better than this, and I only took three lessons in Photoshop.

I'll admit, I'm not used to the balck and grey with Lamb Of God. Still, I hope they'll bring more variety to their sound this time around.

Are LoG's covers getting lazier, or is it just me.

I didn't know Wrath was Grammy-nominated. I thought it was a pretty good album...but not that good.

Not only that, it was Grammy-nominated 2 years in a row. I think its pretty silly that an album can be released the prior year and get nominated for the current year.

Obviously people thought it was that good.

Indeed an artwork is very interesting but its more of a nature wrecker than a political undertone patches. Definitely I am looking forward for their new stuff and lets see what this time they innovate from their last hit Wrath.

It's called Resolutions, the artwork depicts a desolate wasteland with a fiery explosion in the distance. Seems pretty political to me, especially when you take the band's history into consideration and the song titles...

Should we be reading alot into this.

I remember reading an interview where the band members talked about the AotW cover.

Based on that, I'd read into this more than a plane crash. Although Wrath's cover wasn't too ambiguous...

I can't find a link but I'm pretty sure when they talked about the cover the artist (k3n or whatever) was actually answering on behalf of what he had in mind based on their vision and concept.

It was a pretty ridiculously established explanation about political stance and governments and the populace and the birds being metaphors and the shotgun shells or whatever and the rats. Basically the entire thing was symbolic.

Interesting in that it makes you start thinking about the themes and lyrical content of the songs.
E.g. the cracked ground is representative of drought.

Or mabe the artwork is just meant to be a statement in itself ?

Death
Poorly designed artwork, could and should have been better. Most probably related with the Invasion of Iraq.

Randy Blythe says Resolution has similarities with As The Palaces Burn and Ashes of The Wake, both of which are my top favorite LoG albums.

One other thing that I find disturbing is the track titles. I kind of like songs with longer names than songs with single-word-titles. Some examples: Walk With Me In Hell, Blacken The Cursed Sun, Now You've Got Something To Die For, Remorse Is For The Dead, In Defense Of Our Good Name, The Subtle Art Of Murder And Persuasion... Real cool track titles.
