News from the Dystera camp suggest that the band is currently working on a new album. After close to a year of inactivity on the touring front, the band broke the silence with good news of a new album. The new album will be their second and follow up to their debut Journey Into The Shades released back in 2009. The band also announced a new drummer - Pascal, who has replaced Fernando Geneto.

In the band's own words: "It's been a while but Dystera was not idling in the last few months. In summertime, the band members used the vacation abscences of the one or the other to work on the new songs of our next album individually. We progressed quite good and in the meantime we are recording internal demos of some of the songs in our rehearsal room.

Dystera has also to announce a line-up change: Fernando, who was supporting us quite a long time decided to leave the band to have full focus on his business in the future. So we were looking for a replacement and luckily, we found a new Dystera-Family-Member within very short time.

We'd like to introduce Pascal as the new driving force behind the battery to you and would like to encourage you to visit his personal section on our homepage for further details. Pascal did very well in picking up the drum parts of our set list and we're ready to play new concerts now. We will do so from January on and present already the one or other new song on stage."
