Cradle Of Filth - Banned From Playing In Mainland China

Cradle Of Filth are going through a rough patch lately. After having to cancel a North American tour, now the band was banned from playing in Mainland China. The show in Shanghai has been moved to Hong Kong.

The band released this statement about the matter: "Unfortunately at this time the The Cultural Section of the Chinese Government have decided that Cradle of Filth are unsuitable to play in Mainland China and so we are currently banned from playing there. Therefore the show on Tue 30 April in Shang Hai, China - MAO Live House has had to be moved to Hong Kong. The new venue is Kowloonbay International Trade & Exhibition Centre (KITEC) in Hong Kong on April 30th 2013. Hope to see you there!"

Maybe they saw the poster of the event and got scared.

That video is depressing for COF. It's funny because I watch Fuel TV so much because of surfing.

Seeing as Testament is banned from playing in Shanghai because of the 24-year-old song "Seven Days of May," this comes as no shock whatsoever. It's just a shame that the Chinese government is screwing over metal fans in its country. :
